Recently, in order to promote students' effective learning, and help them establish correct learning concepts and methods, each class of Grade 9 organized a class meeting with the theme of 'Rejecting False Efforts and Embracing A New Life', among which the class meeting of Class 902 was shown as a demonstration class with its vivid form and effective guidance.
To start with, in the class meeting of Class 902, teacher Huang first triggered students' thinking through a series of questions, leading to the phenomenon of 'false efforts'. Also, teacher Huang pointed out that although some students appeared to be diligent in their studies, they were actually doing nothing, in that their methods were improper. Thus, their learning efficiency was low, which was easy to let students fall into the misunderstanding of learning, resulting in frustration.
Afterwards, teacher Huang guided the students to have an in-depth discussion, during which he encouraged students to be true to their learning status, and find out if they had a 'false effort' phenomenon, thinking about how to improve their learning efficiency in the meantime. Accordingly, the students actively participated in the discussion and expressed their desire to abandon ineffective learning methods in favor of more scientific and efficient learning strategies.
On the whole, in order to give students a more intuitive sense of how to learn effectively, teacher Huang showcased some effective learning methods from senior students, including clear goals, active absorption of classroom knowledge, targeted classroom exercises, practicing problem-solving ideas and perseverance. Therefore, the students were deeply inspired.
